Description :
The Emmy and five-time PRISM Award-winning series Intervention is back for another powerful season, profiling people whose dependence on drugs and alcohol or other compulsive behavior has brought them to a point of personal crisis. Each episode of this gripping series ends with a surprise intervention staged by family and friends of the addict, and conducted by one of two specialists: Jeff VanVonderen or Candy Finnigan. In this season’s premiere, a defiant drug addict, Rachel, is living alone on the streets, left to fend for herself. Can an intervention save her from a heroin addiction? Later in the season, meet Austin, an expectant father – and alcoholic – getting in as much partying as he can before his baby is born, and Darick, a divorcee who, once he learned he wasn’t the biological father to his daughter, turned to drugs. Not the first addict in his family, Darick is being enabled by relatives who feel if they don’t allow his habit, they’ll have to bury him.
